It was just in 2015 when the crime thriller television series, "Narcos," wrapped up its freshman season. With the series already renewed for another season, recent reports indicate that the Los Pepes Vigilante group is going to play a part in the death of Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) in "Narcos" Season 2.
According to Christian Times, "Narcos" Season 2 is going to feature the death of the previous season's lead character, Pablo. The report also cited that this plot was long been confirmed, and that it was the Colombian National Police who delivered Pablo to his death bed. However, it was also highlighted that it was not the Police who killed Pablo, but the vigilante group called Los Pepes.
In addition, it is said that Los Pepes means Los Perseguidos por Pablo Escobar, which can be translated to People Persecuted by Pablo Escobar. The group is said to be an enemy with the drug lord, and that Pablo's death was their revenge. Given this new rumor, fans are speculating that the group may play a role in the upcoming "Narcos" Season 2.
Meanwhile, according to Cross Map, "Narcos" Season 2 could be the last season of the series. It was not long ago when one of the producers of "Narcos" Season 2, Eric Newman, said that they could not do anything but to let go of Moura's character because the series is based on a true story.
Newman added though that there are various stories to tell aside from Pablo's life. Despite of that, some reports suggest that the death of the lead character, and the departure of the series' original showrunner, Adam Fierro, may be a sign that the show is ready to say goodbye after its second season.
In regards to the release date of "Narcos" Season 2, the network has yet to announce the premiere but reports are pointing to an August 2016 premiere. It was said though that fans may expect a delay in "Narcos" Season 2's release date.
