The romance-fantasy drama "Cinderella and Four Knights" is finally coming. Most recent reports claimed that the much-awaited drama, starring Jung Il-Woo, Ahn Jae Hyun, and Park So Dam, will land on Korea's tvN cable network on Aug. 12.
"Cinderella and Four Knights," which is based on Baek Myo's novel of the same name, follows the journey of a high school student, Eun Ha-Won (Park), who ends up living in a manor called Sky House, in an attempt to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She lives in the Sky House along with three-generation chaebol cousins - Kang Ji Woon (Jung), Kang Hyun Min (Ahn), Kang Seo Woo (Lee Jung Shin) - under some conditions.
With a new and creative premise setting, the upcoming TV series is expected to have stunning twists and turns. The upcoming drama is directed by Kwon Hyuk Chan based on a script penned by Min Ji Eun and Won Young Sil.
The series was fully pre-produced before its premiere, with the cast and crew members finished filming on May 31. Now, the drama has been confirmed to air on August 12, All K-pop reported. It is the first tvN drama series to air Fridays-Saturdays at 11:00 PM KST.
Other than the aforementioned characters, Apink's Son Na Eun, Choi Min, Kim Yong Gun and Go Bo Gyeol have also been given respective supporting roles in the series. Singer-actress Son will be transformed into a chic and laid-back woman, Park Hye Ji, who is caught in a love-triangle between Jung and Ahn, while Choi Min plays Lee Yoon Sung, the bodyguard of the house who protects Eun Ha-Won.
Earlier this year, all actors came together for the drama's first script reading. It was then learned that the 16-episode drama will be produced for television by HB Entertainment.
"All the staff members and actors prepared so much for this project, and we were able to finish the script reading well, thanks to them," a representative from the drama department stated to Soompi at the time. "Their chemistry was great even though this was their first time meeting each other. We will work hard for this drama so we hope the audience gives a lot of love and support."
