Emilia Clarke, 29, spilled the beans on what is ahead for Daenerys Targaryen in "Game of Thrones" Season 7, and it sounds like Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is in for a serious threat. Recently, the actress predicted a deadly Jon Snow meeting in the much-awaited seventh season.
The cliffhanger ending gave rise to several fan theories and speculations that Daenerys will meet Jon Snow at some point when the former reaches Westeros. However, Clarke revealed that nothing has been said in regards to a possible Daenerys and Jon Snow scene.
"I could kill him," Clarke told Entertainment Weekly referring to Daenerys and Jon Snow. "He could kill me. He could be dead before we even meet. I could be dead before we even meet."
Clarke added that Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) could kill both Daenerys and Jon Snow. The actress added that anything is possible and all she knows is winter is coming, and she is bringing the heat.
"Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode 10, which aired on June 26, Sunday, saw Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal fly over the amassed Dothraki, Dornishmen, Ironborn, Reachmen and the Unsullied fleet of House Targaryen. The Mother of Dragons, clad in Targaryen black, stands on the deck of the flagship with Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), and Varys (Conleth Hill), looking ahead to the great war to come, which she intends to win with fire and blood.
Clarke speculated about what may happen in Season 7 when Daenerys hits King's Landing. The actress is confident that Daenerys could definitely take on Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), who assumed the iron throne after Tommen's (Dean-Charles Chapman) suicide after the annihilation of the Great Sept of Baelor.
Basically, Daenerys has ships, manpower and dragons that breathe fire. This indicates that she cannot be killed, Clarke explained.
Although nothing is set in stone yet, speculations are rife that showrunners are mulling over wrapping up the immensely popular TV series with just 13 more episodes. Earlier reports claimed that "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will only consist of seven episodes and six for the potential eighth and final season.
In an interview with Variety, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss expressed that the short run will seemingly enable them to spend more time per episode. The publication notes that the short-order episodes are due to the smaller amount of story content remaining.
"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is expected to premiere around mid-April 2017. Check out the promo for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 finale below:
