Launched just a month back, OnePlus 3 is already facing a lot of issues with its software. Due to some RAM management problems, the Chinese company has decided to roll out OxygenOS 3.2 that comes with a multitude of changes.
The OnePlus 3 was previously running on OxygenOS, but now users can receive the new update via OTA (over-the-air). The update size is 396MB that has a number of attractive changes, including excellent audio playback quality, enhanced GPS performance, improvised custom icon packs, improved camera functionality and quality, fixed issues in notifications, etc.
The previous VR issue was critical that caused the magnetometer present in the device to trigger clicks and sparks in VR-enabled apps like YouTube and Cardboard App. However, with the recent update, the VR issues are now fixed for a better user experience.
OxygenOS 3.2 provides security patches that help to fix bugs and viruses in Music and Clock apps. While several users have already received the update so far, OnePlus is yet to officially announce the new update, Android Headlines reported.
OnePlus 3 boasts an Optic AMOLED 5.5-inch display, 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of native storage option. The device is powered by an Adreno 530 GPU and a Snapdragon 820 SoC and has a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
The phone houses a non-removable 3000mAh battery with support for Dash Charge, which is designed by OnePlus for fast charging. As for the software, the device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
There was an alarming rise in the price of OnePlus 3 that went up from £309 (approx. US$399) to £329 (approx. US$425). Due to the recent collapse of the UK government, the value of UK pound has gone down drastically. As a result, OnePlus has decided to increase the price of the handset.
It makes sense for the Chinese company to increase price of the handset to pass on some of the financial losses owing to decreasing British pound to the customers, according to Engadget. A subsidiary of Oppo, OnePlus is touted as the fourth largest company in the world, producing smartphones. It is a subsidiary of a larger consumer tech firm.
