Many speculations are arising about the reported split up between Bae Suzy, 21, and Lee Min Ho, 29. Latest reports claimed that Suzy and Lee's break-up was caused by the latter's involvement with "Descendants of the Sun" star Song Hye-Kyo.
Rumors about Lee and Song's supposed brewing relationship first burst through social media. It began when the "Bounty Hunters" star expressed his desire to work with Song, calling her his ideal girl. In an interview with ISplus in 2014, Lee revealed that he admires Song's acting skills, as well as her charisma.
"I would like to work with my ideal type, Song Hye-Kyo," said Lee. "If we act together, I think I could learn a lot from her. But I'd probably tremble (be nervous) a lot."
Not long after Lee's statement spread like a wildfire on the web, numerous fans were keen to make a fan-based love team out of their names, "MinKyo Couple." Adding fuel to the flame, the "Uncontrollably Fond" actress recently commented that she changed after a reality check.
"After going through some things, she changed after a reality check," said Suzy, in an interview with Harper's Bazaar Korea referring to her character, as quoted by Asia Star News. "I related to that change very much. Everyone has different sides them, and we're constantly changing."
Lee and Suzy started dating in January 2015, though their romance was only introduced to the public in March 2015. Since then, the couple has constantly been plagued by many break-up rumors, claiming that the two reportedly have an on-off relationship. Neither party has commented on the break-up claims.
Meanwhile, Suzy currently stars on KBS2's new Wednesday-Thursday drama, "Uncontrollably Fond," along with actor Kim Woo Bin. In the drama, Suzy plays No Eul, who is a producing director of documentaries, while Kim plays the famous top celebrity named Shin Joon Young.
The drama's first episode aired July 6, Wednesday, at 10:00 PM (KST). Helmed by Park Hyun Suk and Cha Young Hoon, the story of the 20-episode drama plays out as the two characters meet again after having an unpleasant relationship in the past.
