Rumors have been rife about "American Horror Story" (AHS) Season 6 after a mysterious logo surfaced. The latest reports indicate that the show will return sooner than expected.
Previously, the series was reported to release during mid-October to get aficionados in the mood of Halloween. However, FX announced this week that "American Horror Story" Season 6 will debut on Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. ET. Therefore, fans have just more than two months to discover what Ryan Murphy and his crew have in store for them.
Although the network did not say why the show is returning earlier than expected, it makes sense to have the sixth installment with the rest of the conventional fall TV schedule lineup. It is now official that "AHS" Season 6 will air on Wednesdays starting September, but many details remain under wrap.
Avid fans of the show should be excited since it is reported that the horror anthology show has finally started filming scenes for Season 6. Some crew and cast members of "American Horror Story" Season 6 were spotted shooting some scenes in a Los Angeles studio, according to On Location Vacations. It is believed that the show will be set in a nursing home or hospital.
It is unclear whether the entire hospital or nursing home setting will make the general theme of "American Horror Story" Season 6. However, fans have repeatedly been treated with the news that the show's storyline will involve children.
Further reports suggested that the upcoming "American Horror Story" Season 6 would be set in a boarding school. The likelihood of a boarding school setting may have been hinted in the previous season when John Lowe (Wes Bentley) said that he wanted his daughter Scarlett (Shree Crooks) to join a boarding school, Thatcher School. Coincidentally, the same boarding school is also where Will Drake's (Cheyenne Jackson) son, Lachlan (Lyric Lennon Parker-Angel) attends.
With regard to returning members of the cast, after Matt Bomer confirmed that he will be reprising his role in the upcoming sixth installment; reports have it that Golden Globe winner Lady Gaga will also return. It is almost official that Evan Peters will return to "American Horror Story" Season 6.
While the 29-year-old star is reputable in this show, he cannot seem to believe his luck again for Season 6, according to Deadline. After Lady Gaga confirmed his return to "American Horror Story" Season 6, her reunion with Peters will be a lot more interesting.
In the previous seasons of "American Horror Story," Lady Gaga played Peters' wife. The two have characters have a unique relationship that will keep the show fans excited.
