With Kira out of picture, it appears Scott McCall will be moving solo. Tyler Posey who plays Scott and series creator Jeff Davis gave reasons as to why Scott will not have another love interest in the upcoming sixth installment.
Scott will avoid girls for the remaining part of his high school life. When the true Alpha falls in love, he stumbles head over heels into deep wonderment.
The Beacon Hill's Scott is not worried as he quickly transforms from a fierce werewolf into a small puppy that bumps into walls and innocently doles out kisses to naive kitsune. Time has come for the teen to concentrate on his personal life for a while after two great romances.
"This is the first two years I'm really single, so I relate to it with Scott and I thought it was something that every person has to go through in their life, grow on their own and really figure out who they are," Posey told Entertainment Weekly. "That's kind of what's going on with Scott."
Series creator added that Scott had two great love relationships - the epic and tragic one with Allison and the romantic comedy side with Kira. However, in Season6, Scott as a single person tries to graduate and be there for his friends, while encountering yet another supernatural predicament.
There is no reason for Scott to start a new relationship when he is about to leave for college. Apparently, "Teen Wolf" Season 6 will start three months after the events of "Apotheosis" leading Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), Scott, Lydia (Holland Roden), and Malia (Shelley Hennig) into their final months of senior year.
From college to graduation to ghost riders, Scott will be overwhelmed. The transition is particularly distressing for Posey, since the show will focus on the 24-year-old actor's own relationship status.
Meanwhile, the relationship between Styles and Lydia has grown from being strangers in the early parts of the series, to being best friends. The two characters faced threats and several creatures causing chaos around their town.
In an interview with TV Guide, the series creator pointed out that the upcoming season will focus on what is really happening between Styles and Lydia. According to Davis, Lydia's feelings for Styles will be central in Season 6. The new development in the plot of the show will make some fans upset, while others will be excited.
"Teen Wolf" Season 6 returns on MTV this fall. Watch the clip below for more information on the upcoming sixth installment.
