Fans have been waiting anxiously for the premiere of "Teen Wolf" Season 6, but it appears that the show has been quiet about the new season's official airdate. However, there are rumblings that the supernatural series may return to the small screen this fall.
The cast of "Teen Wolf" Season 6, together with showrunner Jeff Davis, has been confirmed to appear at San Diego Comic Con this July 21. According to MTV, Tyler Hoechlin and the rest of his pack will join a panel discussion, moderated by Entertainment Weekly reporter Samantha Highfill. The stars will field questions from the audience and unveil details about the story arcs that will be explored in "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Also, the much-awaited exclusive first-look for the sixth season will be released.
It is possible that the official "Teen Wolf" Season 6 release date will be announced at the San Diego Comic Con. Contrary to the show's past five seasons, the sixth season wasn't able to make it to the traditional June release. There are rumors, however, that Scott McCall and the rest of his Beacon Hills squad will make a return to TV this November.
In the meantime, details about the storyline have been revealed little by little. As reported by Teen Wolf News, much of "Teen Wolf" Season 6 will focus on Liam, Mason, Hayden and Corey. There will also be a returning character this season.
Interestingly, Scott will explore uncharted territory with respect to his love life. In previous seasons, the Alpha was romantically involved with Allison and Kira. It appears that in "Teen Wolf" Season 6, Scott will not have a girlfriend for the first time in the show's history.
"When we realized that the show wasn't going to have Kira Yukimura this season, we wanted to ask ourselves, 'Does Scott always need to have romance in his life to be a compelling character?'" Jeff Davis told Entertainment Weekly. "We thought this might be a season where we don't see that side and we see him struggling a little bit."
Actor Tyler Posey is also interested in Scott being the lone wolf in "Teen Wolf" Season 6, saying he relates to it and that it's "something that every person has to go through in their life, grown on their own and really figure out who they are."
