The upcoming "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 may have fans cheering for different love teams, as executive producer Peter Nowalk teases a forthcoming love triangle between Asher (Matt McGorry), Michaela (Aja Naomi King) and Bonnie (Liza Weil).
According to Ecunemical News, Nowalk mentioned in a TV Line interview that McGorry will be portraying Asher as an "ideal boyfriend" on the TV series, causing both Michaela and Bonnie to fall in love with him.
The producer, who also wrote the first episode of Season 3, says that Asher's character is "fun," a "simple guy" and a "good boyfriend." This will make Michaela possibly fall in love with him, as he is just "right in front of her." The producer also teased that Asher is "probably a generous lover" too.
Fans who watched "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 2 will remember that Asher and Bonnie have broken up, even if it is evident that the two still have feelings for each other. However, in order to cope with the sadness that comes with the passing of his father, Asher finds comfort in a hook up with Michaela.
The hook up in "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 2 will potentially create tension between the cast, making fans wonder how Bonnie will take this newly budding romance, should it blossom into something more in "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 2. She may take it headstrong, considering that Nowalk describes her as someone who is "tougher than anyone on the show," and someone who can "handle anything emotionally."
Considering Asher still has feelings for Bonnie, fans should watch out "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 if he will choose her over Michaela, or the other way around.
On the other hand, fans also speculate that "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 may be Frank Delfino's last season. Although actor Charlie Weber confirmed that he is a series regular on the show, Movie News Guide reported that his character's fate after this upcoming season remains unknown, considering his relationship with Annalise is on the rocks at the moment considering plus he has attempted to murder her years ago.
In addition, rumor has it that "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 may also focus on how Frank may seek atonement for his sins.
"How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 is slated to premiere on September on ABC.
