The latest details and possible spoilers for "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will feature more members of the "Justice Society of America" and the new plot of the show.
With Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) defeated at the hands of Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and the rest of the heroes in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 1. Rip and his team consisting of Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh), Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), Mick Rory/ Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Professor Martin Stein ( Victor Garber) and Jax Jackson (Franz Drameh)/Firestorm are now headed to another adventure and meeting a new character named Rex Tyler/Hourman (Patrick J. Adams).
Season 2 of "Legends of Tomorrow" will centered upon a new conflict focused on the live-action version DC comics superhero team "Justice Society of America". In the comics, they are a superhero team on Earth-2 and the precursor to the "Justice League". With Hourman warning the team about the possible conflict in the future, it seems tha they will need all the help they can get.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim teased the directive of Rips' mission in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as he told Entertainment Weekly that basically the team are making their own mission statements since the Time Masters are no longer a threat to them thanks to their actions, so in a way, Rip's team will have to become Time Masters and doing it the best way they can.
Although Guggenheim did not elaborate any further details, Rip's team will be facing an enemy far worse than Vandal Savage as the showrunners teased that fighting Savage is a "walk in the park" compared to the new villain and he/she will be revealed the second season's build up.
In other news, several members of the Justice Society of America will likely make their presents felt in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2.
With the introduction of Rex Tyler in the season 1, comic book fans are waiting for more JSA members to show up in the show. Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel (Nick Zano) has been added to the cast and there several speculations that Jay Garrick/The Flash (John Wesley Shipp) will likely join the show.
These possible JSA members that fans want to see in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 includes Alan Scott/Green Lantern, Wesley Dodds/Sandman, Jim Corrigan/The Spectre, Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate, Al Pratt/The Atom, Power Girl and Mister Terrific, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Other additional character being rumored in season 2 such as Earth 2 Laurel Lance/Black Siren, John Constantine (Matt Ryan), Connor Hawke/Green Arrow (Joseph David-Jones) and Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech). In addition, there is a chance that Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) will be returning to the show since he will be making appearances on other DC TV series in the CW Network.
"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will air on Oct. 13 on the CW Network.
