New details for "No Man's Sky" will feature it official file size, first update, a new level up system and a possible Mac version of the game soon.
Hello Games announced the official file size of "No Man' Sky" as the company's founder Sean Murray tweeted that it will take on 6GB of space on a Blu-Ray disk when the game launches next month and majority of it is audio. Several gamers are skeptical about "No Man's Sky's" file size being small since it features a massive environment were players will explore the cosmos from huge galaxy.
However, it is a testament to the game’s focus on procedural generation that "No Man’s Sky" can be filled with such a varied set of environments and still take up such a small amount of space. The file size of the game can still be low due to the visual representation of individual worlds is based on a very complex of deterministic algorithms and random number generators.
Hello Games added that their will be a first game update for "No Man's Sky" as Murray teased that they are currently working on the feature. It is unknown yet if it is a "Day 1" update or whether it comes in a later date. Hello Games promised gaming fans that they will continue to try and improve the features within the game, giving them a very different and exciting experience, Gamerant reported.
In other news, a new level up system has been revealed as Hello Games audio director Paul Weir stated that gamers will have to explore areas from each planet they have landed on and gather as much resources as possible in order to upgrade their stats and their ship.
Weir added that Hello Games has yet to reveal the new leveling system for "No Man's Sky" and with the release date drawing near, the developers might be showcasing it very soon, Express reported.
Lastl, there rumors making rounds that a Mac version of "No Man's Sky" could be in the works sometime next year. Although gamers can install a window's program on their Mac computers to play "No Man's Sky", there is still a bit of hope that a Mac version could be in the works and gamers will have to wait for further announcements from Hello Games after they have launched, thus having several post launch plans.
"No Man's Sky" will feature over 18 quintillion planets in a huge universe as players can travel through space, land and even underwater. They will the opportunity to explore different terrains and discover all sorts of plants and wild alien creatures. Upgrading weapons, gear and space ship can be possible using all of available resources within a planet, but they must be beware that enemy sentinels will be present if ever they decide to attack the planet.
Hyperdrive upgrades are also needed for players to travel further into the galaxy. Murray stated that gamers will likely bump into each other within "No Man's Sky", but the chances of that happening due to how massive the areas of this game can really offer.
"No Man's Sky" will launch on Aug. 9 in the United States, Aug. 10 in Europe and Aug. 12 in the United Kingdom for the PS4 and PC platforms.
