Avid gamers will be happy with the latest "Pokemon Sun and Moon" news, as two new scary yet adorable Pokemon characters have been recently leaked in the Japanese magazine CoroCoro.
The July edition of CoroCoro has unveiled a first look at the two new Pokemon characters that players may expect to see in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Translations posted on Serebii indicated that a bear Pokemon and a ghost Pokemon will join the list of new and old characters in the game. The bear Pokemon is called Kiteruguma, while the ghost Pokemon is Mimicyu.
Kiteruguma has been described as a normal/fighting Pokemon and is said to be a very strong and scary character. The bear Pokemon can break things into two and has both Fluffy and Klutz abilities. The people in the game's Alola region have even posted signs to warn other citizens of its strength. The game's Pokemon trainers can also expect to get hugs from Kiteruguma, although raising one may pose a danger to the trainer's life.
On the other hand, Mimicyu has the False Colors ability and bears the unique combination of a ghost and fairy. The said Pokemon character is said to prefer dark places and hates being out in the sun. To avoid the sun's rays, it wears a cloth cover to protect its body. Avid "Pokemon" gamers may even find Mimicyu's cloth cover design familiar given its resemblance to the popular character Pikachu.
However, the game's Pokemon trainers are advised not to remove Mimicyu's cloth cover. Those who do would find themselves stricken with an illness. Despite the said Pokemon's spooky background, Mimicyu is said to crave the same love and attention that Pikachu usually gets from other people.
Meanwhile, many Pokemon fans appear to have fallen in love with Mimicyu, Kotaku reported. Fan arts posted on Twitter and Tumblr showed several depictions of Mimicyu in various settings and poses. A few even included illustrations of the said ghost Pokemon with Pikachu, along with other beloved characters.
At this time, it is still unclear if the said two new Pokemon characters will retain their Japanese names when the game is launched in North America. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" has been set for release on Nov. 18 on Nintendo 3DS.
