While the Hemsworth photo is a form of a joke, there is more to it in the surface than meets the eye as several rumors are making rounds regarding the Mighty Avenger banished from his home realm of Asgard and losing his weapon Mjolnir in the process, Geek reported. Hemsworth's update on the hammer could be a foreshadowing of certain events on what happened to him after "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

"Thor: Ragnarok" will have Thor Odinson (Hemsworth) land on an unknown planet fighting gladiator contest headed by the Grandmaster (Jeff Godlum). The movie will take page from "Planet Hulk" as Thor will encounter his Avengers teammate Bruce Banner/The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) sporting a one shoulder armor.

Ruffalo stated in an interview that that Bruce Banner/Hulk will be on the run in "Ragnarok" as he tries to remove himself from the rest of humanity altogether. The film will explain more of Bruce Banner and the Hulk's relationship since they have different personality, while sharing the same body. Both their relationship with each other will start to strain as Rufflo explained that the producers are trying to "mess" with it, hinting away from the traditional Banner/Hulk scenario.

The chagne will have a more intelligent and ruthless Hulk as remains the green monster, while Bruce Banner is trapped in his head.

As for Thor, the third movie will have him search for a powerful weapon that can break the "Ragnarok" cycle from Asgard and save the whole universe. The ruler of Hel, Hela (Cate Blanchett) will be the main villain and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) will helping Thor in his journey.

In other news, several rumors are making rounds regarding the God of Mischief Loki (Tom Hiddleston) appearing alongside Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in "Doctor Strange" film.

Hiddleston teased a scenario between his character and Cumberbatch's character as he cited his friendship with the latter off screen, Daily News reported. Loki is set to return in "Thor: Ragnarok" and his role in the film is yet to be revealed.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be release on Nov. 3, 2017.
