MacBook Pro 2016 release was previously rumored to take place in the Fall. However, new rumors claimed the laptop will be released next year.
MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to retain the sizes of the original with Retina display, but will be packed with powerful specs and features, including the stunning 5K screen display, fingerprint scanner, and MacOS Sierra.
Below are the top five reasons why MacBook Pro 2016 release will not happen anytime soon.
April release window of Macbook line
MacBook's original release window is in April. This year, Apple released updated 12-inch MacBook, but the MacBook Pro went missing in action. There is a big possibility that MacBook Pro 2016 release will be in April 2017.
iPad Pro 2 release date
In line with the alleged release date next year, MacBook Pro 2016 may give way to the rumored iPad Pro 2 as the upcoming laptop may steal the spotlight from the hybrid tablet. The tablet may appear inferior side-by-side the laptop.
Too many Apple products to be released in Fall
There are more Apple products lined up for release in the Fall. Apple fans are still waiting for iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Watch, iPad Air 3, and iPad Mini 5. Cramming too many products in a release date window in September may backfire at the company.
OLED touch bar
MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to pack an OLED touch bar. However, the development of such feature may take a while than expected.
Kaby Lake processor
Similar to OLED touch bar, MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to pack Intel's Kaby Lake processor. However, the said processor will be released later this year. If rumors proved to be true, the release of Intel's chipset is just in time for a launch next year.
However, Apple has not made an official announcement regarding the MacBook Pro 2016 release date and features.
