DC's "Wonder Woman" is set to premiere next year, and some critiques are still unsure whether it's a good idea to give the female superhero a standalone film.
According to Variety, compared to other DC films, "Wonder Woman" was one of the heroes who wasn't given the right attention that she deserves. We've seen a lot of Batman and Superman reboot, but a "Wonder Woman" recreation hasn't been done in almost a decade - a reason why a lot of skeptics are not confident about the upcoming film.
On the other hand, as seen on the "Batman Vs Superman" film, Gal Gadot was like a match made in heaven, as if she was born to portray the role of Wonder Woman. With that said, a lot of fans are assertive that the actress would be able to give justice to her role as the Amazonian princess.
Reports states that Gadot thinks it feels right to have a female director for the film, even if most of the movie critiques disagree. During an interview with the actress, she said that Patty Jenkins is the perfect director for "Wonder Woman" because it is easier to connect with a female director. She added that they both experience the same things and they don't even need to say a word they could easily spot if somethings wrong by just looking into each other's eyes.
The actress explained "It feels like the communication is different. We talk about emotions. With Patty, it's a thing now, we communicate with our eyes. She doesn't need to say a thing. If I'm hurt, she feels the pain. It's a whole different connection that I have with her. She's also brilliant, she's bright, she's fierce, and she's sharp. She knows exactly what she wants Wonder Woman to be."
In other news, even if "Wonder Woman's" success is highly doubted, recent leaked pictures from the film's set showed that it may have a potential to be a block buster movie.
Ecumenical News reported that the picture showed Wonder Woman dressed in her costume sporting a shield and carrying a sword on her other hand. The other picture showed Wonder Woman looking straight to the camera and doing her iconic pose, while the last picture captured the Amazonian warrior seating in the middle of the forest surrounded with the other casts.
On the same report, it is also stated that fans would get the chance to meet the film's entire cast during the San Diego Comic-Con, as "Wonder Woman's" team would be seen alongside the cast of "Suicide Squad" and "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
"Wonder Woman" is set to premiere on June 2, 2017.
