Smackdown Live currently homes the most prestigious belt in sports entertainment after current title-holder Dean Ambrose became the top pick of the brand in last Tuesday's WWE Draft.
However, things can certainly change this Sunday when the belt is once again up for grabs, as Ambrose slugs it out with his former Shield teammate and rivals Seth Rollins and the returning Roman Reigns of RAW.
But it's not only the triple-threat WWE World Heavyweight title match that should get the Pay-per-View interesting, because the full card is loaded with surefire entertaining matches, from top to bottom.
No one knows what actually will happen on Sunday, especially with so many eccentric superstars involved in this matches. But by analyzing the flow of the buildup and the current politics behind the WWE curtains, title changes could really happen.
For that, here's Yibada's blitz prediction for every match in Sunday's WWE Battleground 2016.
Triple-Threat match for WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Dean Ambrose (champion) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns
Winner: Dean Ambrose. WWE's gold will stay on Smackdown at least for the next few weeks. Rollins has been awesome in his comeback run so far, while Reigns seeks vindication following a one-month suspension.
Still, it's hard to imagine Ambrose losing his belt after just a one month reign. Remember, WWE is building up Ambrose as the top star of Smackdown, so extending his reign at the expense of two legit contenders makes sense businesswise.
Unfortunately for Smackdown, the WWE championship will eventually end up on Raw, in the hands of either Rollins or Reigns at SummerSlam, paving the way for the reinstitution of the classic World Heavyweight championship.
Six-Man Tag-team match - John Cena, Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. The Club (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson)
Winner: Team Cena will win this one, because of the presence of Vince McMahon's latest pet Big Cass on that team. I guess, you can't really teach height. It's all clear now that WWE's first version of the Club will end up on a losing note. Fortunately, the Club will continue to exist with the birth of its second reincarnation under the leadership of Finn Balor on Raw.
WWE Intercontinental Championship - the Miz vs. Darren Young
Winner: Darren Young for the win. Let's face it, there's no better way to cap Young's 'repackaging' than winning the Intercontinental championship. Because yeah, everybody likes underdog/comeback story.
WWE United States Championship - Rusev vs. Zach Ryder
Winner: Ryder bagging the US title gold. As much as fans want to see more of Lana, the WWE Universe is already fed up with the Bulgarian's same old boring gimmick as US champ.
Six-Man Tag-Team Match - The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman)
Winner: The Wyatt over the New Day. Xavier turning on his teammates because duh, it's obvious. Darkside doing heavy recruit.
Singles Match - Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
Winner: Kevin Owens, and this rivalry needs to stop now.
Tag-Team match: Sasha Banks & TBA vs. Charlotte and Dana Brooke
Winner: Team Banks. Sasha getting help from old NXT rival, Bayley, who will be making her WWE debut.
Singles Match - Becky Lynch vs. Natalya
Winner: Becky Lynch. With Sasha Banks and Charlotte bound for a long and heated rivalry for the Women's championship on Raw, it's very logical to have the other pioneer of the Divas Revolution to lord over the ladies on Smackdown.
Tag-Team Match - Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) vs. the USOS
Winner: In a match that nobody cares, I like the Breezango's chance over the much-maligned USOS.
Coverage of WWE Battleground 2016 will start at 8:30 US EST on WWE Network.
