"Arrow" season 5 recently dropped its official teaser for its upcoming episodes.
While at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con, the producers of the hit The CW series announced that a two-minute clip will be unveiled for the sake of fans of the press.
The clip opened with a brief flashback from season 4 when Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) finally had the opportunity to take down Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).
"You wouldn't have approved what I did. I know it's not what you have wanted. You were always better than me, Laurel," Oliver said in the teaser.
"Promise me something..." Laurel told Oliver from season 4.
"Anything..." he replied.
"Your instinct has always been to go alone... Ollie, you can't," Laurel continued.
The next scene showed Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) encouraging Oliver that he needs to train new members of Team Arrow especially now that Diggle (David Ramsey) and Thea (Willa Holland) no longer want to work with him.
"You have been waiting for things to go back to how things were... They're not," Felicity told Oliver.
"Felicity thinks that it's time we put together a new team," Oliver said.
Their first pick is Evelyn Sharp (Madison McLaughlin). The female character will later on be called Artemis. She has obvious similarities with Laurel aka the Black Canary. She was also featured in the series last season.
The second recruit is Rene Ramirez aka Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez).
Oliver and Felicity's third pick is the latter's colleague Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum).
"I thought you never want to be a vigilante?" Oliver asked him.
"I never want to feel helpless again," Curtis replied.
During their first arrival at the Team Arrow office, Oliver expressed his biggest concern to his ex-girlfriend.
"These people are amateurs, Felicity!" he said.
"They're inspired... By you..." she answered.
"I came here to work with the guy who killed Damien Darhk," Wild Dog said.
At this point, Oliver started teaching the three new members of Team Arrow different things.
Meanwhile, a flashback from Oliver's time in Bratva was also included in the teaser.
"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET.
