The fans have been waiting for the screening of some new episodes of the popular Japanese manga ''Seven Deadly Sins'' for more than two years now. Their wait has now ended and the 4 episode OVA (Original Video animation) will be aired on Aug. 28 and Tomoko Sudo has joined as the new chief animation director.
Sudo gained popularity as an animation director with anime series ''Oreshura'' which was premiered on Tokyo MX, tvk, CTC, TVS, TVA, RKB between Jan. 6, 2013 and Mar. 31, 2013. After being successful in this anime series, Sudo was given the responsibility to be the animation director for anime series ''Silver Spoon.'' According to animenewsnetwork, Sudo has directed many other anime series and the fans can expect him to create magic in the upcoming short OVA series too.
Season 1 was aired from Oct. 5, 2014 and in episode 1, the viewers saw Princess Elizabeth meeting Meliodas. They set to defeat the dangerous group of Holy Knights. In episode 4, which was named as "Shōjo no Yume" in Japanese ("A Young Girl's Dream"), the viewers saw Diane throwing Gilthunder out of the Forest of White Dreams. Meliodas, Hawk and Elizabeth joined by Diane start to proceed towards the Baste Dungeon where Ban is imprisoned. Later Ban escapes from the cell in Baste Dungeon, and Jericho tries to stop him. However, Ban manages to dodge Jericho and escapes.
The trio appear at Dalmary Town and Dana starts to treat Meliodas. However, later it was discovered that the medicine which Meliodas drank was not going to cure him, but was going to kill him. It was a deadly poison and the episode ended on Oct. 26, 2014 in suspense. In this episode the viewers saw Diane and Elizabeth start feuding and try to prove their supremacy over each other. The Holy Knight Friesia too attacks them and Diane had destroys all her insects and frees her companions.
On Nov. 2, 2014, the fifth episode was aired. It was named as ''Tatoe Anata ga Shindemo" in Japanese which means "Even If You Were To Die." At the end of episode 4, Golgius had appeared, and in episode 5 he tries to snatch Elizabeth and Meliodas' sword back to Liones. In this episode there was a good amount of commotion as Diane after hearing the sound of bell was mesmerised and starts attacking her own group. Meliodas, who was expected to succumb to the effect of poison, was shown normal and starts to fight Diane.
But he too was mesmerised by the bell and starts fighting against his own group members. On the other hand, Ban who successfully escapes from Baste Dungeon is caught by Jude of the Weird Fangs, and is stabbed in the chest. Season 1 currently is re-telecast on a few channels and the viewers can enjoy it till the new OVAs are aired.
According to my animalist, the characters in season 2 will more or less remain the same. Enjoy the opening of the ''Seven Deadly Sins'' season 2.
