"Luther" actor Idris Elba attends as Coachella DJ and is set to cast in James Bond movie after "Star Trek Beyond."
Idris Elba is a superstar DJ under the stage name DJ Big Driis or Big Driis the Londoner. According to Mirror, he was announced during the opening in a dance Despacio tent at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2016 in California. He was filming when he was forced to perform as DJ at Glastonbury. It is claimed that Coachella organisers were impressed with Elba's DJ'ing because they already saw him perform. So they decided and planned to let him perform in a freestyle set. The popular festival is also attended by the celebrities Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, and Rihanna.
Idris Elba is a unique performer with his freestyling, a crowd-puller and is willing to change his schedule around it. He is the first British actor to have a major leading slot at Coachella. He is not only an actor but also a musician like "Suicide Squad" joker Jared Leto and "24" actor Kiefer Sutherland. He will also finance a net £1MILLION budget for an episode in the US TV series "Luther" even if he is not the leading man. Although he will not acquire the role of James Bond, there is the possibility that the TV series will be in cinemas.
Recently, Idris Elba said that playing the next James Bond is the wildest rumor in the world, as ABC News reported. He also said in an interview that many people wanted him for the role but the studio has not discussed it with him yet. He admitted that he is too old to run around in cars with ladies and martinis because he is already 43.
Elba is also played the role of villain in his latest movie "Star Trek Beyond," which was released back on July 21 in cinemas nationwide. He said that he is honored to be part of the film because when he was 11 years old, he is a fan of it. He stated that he wants to do prosthetics, which takes four hours each day.
Elba is currently nominated for an outstanding lead actor in the primetime Emmy award in the "Luther" TV series.
