When Jeremy Lin announced that he agreed to a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, former Nets point guard Jarrett Jack apparently made fun of him on Twitter. However, Jack has denied this claim and explained the "Hahaha" tweet but Lin seems to have the last laugh.

The 27-year-old point guard announced on Twitter that he has chosen to sign with the Nets on the very first day of free agency. Jack, who was waived 24 hours earlier, posted a tweet that many fans thought as a parting shot on Lin.

Many people have accused Jack of making fun of Lin but the 32-year-old guard explained the tweet in an interview with Mike Mazzeo of ESPN. He noted that he was laughing because of something that happened in Houston.

Jack mentioned that he was in Houston at that time with ex-NBA coach John Lucas II, his son John Lucas III and Tim Frazier of the New Orleans Pelicans. He added that the timing of the "Hahaha" tweet was just a coincidence and he did not mean to set the internet on fire.

When asked if he reached out to Lin regarding the tweet, Jack said that he has not contacted him. However, he had some good words for the former Charlotte Hornets point guard and he said that they know each other personally.

"I think J-Lin is damn good. I thought he was tremendous in Houston when they were hitting all those 3-pointers, and then in Charlotte, he played his ass off during the playoffs," Lin said.

Nevertheless, Lin gets the last laugh since he is the one who signed a three-year, $36 million deal. He will also be getting money in the future after filing a trade mark for the term "Brook-Lin" on top of the "Linsanity" word.

Lin also got to star in the "Space Jam 3" anime spoof that has gone viral, The Huffington Post reported. Lastly, he will be the starting point guard of the Nets and he has the chance to post the best numbers of his career.
