“Game of Thrones” cast member Sophie Turner has recently dyed her iconic Sansa Stark red hair a platinum blonde color. However, some of the actress’ social media fans have shared mixed reactions on her new hair color.
Turner revealed her new lighter hair color in an Instagram photo posted on Friday, July 29, Yahoo reported. In the photo, the actress appears to be lying down with her long platinum blonde hair arranged around her. The image only featured the upper part of her face, from her eyes to the top of her head.
She captioned the photo with a cute message that indicated that she did something shocking. The actress wrote, “I did a thing….” Turner even included an emoji of a man with both hands on his face.
The actress’ Instagram post and new hairstyle have elicited several feedbacks from netizens. Some of Turner’s fans took to Twitter to compliment the star for her lighter colored hair. A few of the social media posts described the British celebrity as a gorgeous lady with her new platinum blonde hair, as indicated in the same report.
However, some fans were in disbelief that Turner has decided to go for a lighter hair color. The actress has been known for her red hair color given her portrayal of Sansa in the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones.” Her ginger hair also became the British star’s trademark hair color when she played the Marvel mutant Jean Grey in the latest X-Men movie, “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
Twitter messages captured in the same report revealed the less than unhappy feedback of a few fans. Some Twitter users indicated that they were displeased with Turner’s now lighter hair color. Meanwhile, a few Twitter users the actress’ decision to color her hair blonde given the British celebrity’s previous red hair.
However, the actress is expected to go back to her ginger colored hair once filming activities for “Game of Thrones” Season 7 resumes.
In other news, Turner has shared her thoughts on the stronger Sansa that viewers saw in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. She commented during the HBO show’s panel at the San Diego Comic-Con held in July that her character may not be interested in taking control of the Iron Throne, Vanity Fair reported. However, the actress mentioned that Sansa is also not willing to concede her power to Kit Harrington’s Jon Snow. “I don’t believe she thinks Jon is capable of running Winterfell and the North,” she said.
“Game of Thrones” Season 7 is expected to air in summer 2017.
