The Pokemon Go latest update has brought some welcome changes to the game. Players can now change the look of their trainers and there is no fear of sending their favorite Pokemons accidentally to Professor Willow.
Pokemon Go 1.1.0 update on iOS or the 0.31.0 update on the Android platform comes with the ability to transform the looks of the trainers from the profile screen. There is a small icon in the lower right-hand corner, which needs to be enabled for the customization menu, according to Polygon.
New looks have also been introduced for numerous entities. Kanto achievement's Pokedex and the Jogger's milestone now come with a new look.
Gamers will also need to go to a new menu for transferring Pokemons to Professor Willow. This is a welcome step as it will cut down on accidental transfers of favorite Pokemons to the Professor.
The nests have also been revamped and some new species are being introduced. However, on the flip side, the rare Pokemons are going to be much more harder to catch now.
Besides, the feature of Damage Per Second has also undergone a complete makeover. The new system is much more balanced and it has made combat more interesting, according to Reddit.
Meanwhile, the Nearby tracking system has also gone in for a complete overhaul, which has not gone down well with the gamers. The earlier method of finding Pokemons based on their pawprints is no longer applicable, as the footprints are now missing from the Nearby feature.
In lieu of the Pokemon Go's update, various third-party mapping apps and services were also shut down, which infuriated the gamers. The players felt that their Pokemon Go experience was unsavory and many of them even applied for a refund for the in-app purchases.
Gamers feel that it has become very difficult to catch Pokemons now and the sentiment was expressed in various negative reviews on Apple's app store. Many die-hard fans have uninstalled Pokemon Go and are instead now playing alternative games.
