The latest details for the new "God of War" sequel in the PlayStation 4 will feature over a 100 enemies, bigger boss battles and more "Father and Son" combat.
Game director Cory Balrog teased new gameplay details for the new "God of War" game as Balrog stated in an interview that the new sequel will feature over a 100 enemies for Kratos to slay and fight, which likely fill u the screen. There will also be huge and epic boss battles in "God of War" since Kratos will tackle beings from Norse Mythology after he has killed the God's of Olympus from the previous title, GamingBolt reported.
There are also hints that Kratos will likely wield Thor's enchanted hammer Mjolnir as the game's final weapons similar to the Blade of Olympus.
Meanwhile, Santa Monica Studio's lead gameplay engineer Jeet Shroff revealed that the gameplay controls for "God of War" PS4 will be more of trigger buttons rather than face buttons, as gamers will get yo be more personal with Kratos rather than wide, arcing blows from previous "GoW" titles.
Shroff added that Kratos' son will be instrumental in the new "God of War" gameplay teasing that he is much more of a passive character. Gamers can direct Kratos' son in combat as Shroff stated that their is a a button that can summon the boy in battle, which sort of a twisted "Father and Son" bonding. Gamers can upgrade the "Father and Son" feature as they progressed in the game as Shroff explained that the Kratos' son can go toe-to-toe with his father and even kill enemies on his own, Gamerant reported.
There will also be a new progressive system in "God of War" PS4 as it reflects Kratos' relationship with his son, as well tailor them into the gamer's own play style within the sequel.
Santa Monica Studio wanted to change the progression system so that it encourages them to play the game more than one time. It will entice people to explore to see new things. Balrog confirmed that "God of War" is not fully open-world, but it is less linear than the previous games as they have opened up the areas to make them more expansive.
Sony has not yet announced a release date for "God of War" on the PS4, however, the official website of Amazon revealed the pre-order details of the game at $59.99 with a released date placeholder on Dec. 29, 2017.
