A very awkward mother-daughter moment came was seen on national television after a red carpet interview of actress Dakota Johnson and her mother Melanie Griffith. The moment came after Griffith made nasty comment about her daughter's latest movie "Fifty Shades of Grey."
When asked by ABC interviewer Lara Spencer if she has already watched the controversial movie, Griffith replied that she has not seen it and added, "I don't think I can, I think it would strange. She's really good actress, I don't need to see that to know how good she is."
Griffith also added that she has no plans of seeing in the film in the near future. Johnson replied to her mother's banter saying that she still hopes that her mother would one day watch the movie after doing a sarcastic eye-roll, according to Mashable.
Johnson would later present the nominees for the Best Visual Effects category.
Johnson is the female star of the highly controversial movie "Fifty Shades of Grey." A movie based on an erotic novel of the same title authored by E.L. James. Johnson plays the role of Anastasia Steele, a college student who to the unique charm of the young entrepreneur Christian Grey. The movie has caught the attention of the public and raised some eyebrows due to its explicit theme that tackles BDSM.
Despite the movies adult theme it manages to rake in more than $130 million in domestic theaters, according to Box Office Mojo. Additionally the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer posted on YouTube has already raked in more than 61 million views.
