Bethesda Softworks recently announced that they are interested into developing games for the Nintendo NX which could mean sequels of Prey, Fallout 4 and Doom could be present in the upcoming console.
There are no confirmed Nintendo NX titles yet but Bethesda's interest could mean good things for the console which is already being criticized even before it is released in 2017. Several reports have already claimed that it would not be as powerful as the PlayStation Neo and the Xbox Project Scorpio which both boast "true 4K gaming" capabilities on launch.
Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines said that there is a possibility of them developing games for the Nintendo NX but there is still no guarantee that The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series will be present immediately, IGN has learned. The fact that they did not deny the series' introduction to the new console could also mean that they are already considering the possibility.
The good news was announced by Hines during the Quakecon where they showcased the new gameplay trailers of Quake Champions and the Prey title which is not a reboot. Nintendo is still silent about their upcoming console's specs but reports have already claimed that the Nintendo NX will only be powered by NVIDIA's Tegra processor.
Nintendo NX already has several titles confirmed for launch and one of the most popular is Dragon Quest X from Square Enix, Valuewalk reported. Dragon Quest X will also launch for the PlayStation 4 but there has been no release date yet.
Game Freak is also reportedly developing a Pokemon game for Nintendo NX which is just timely considering the spectacular success of Niantic's Pokemon GO AR game for the Android and the iOS platform. There are also talks that the mobile game could also be integrated with the Nintendo NX version.
Bethesda's games could help the Nintendo NX sell more in 2017 and it could also propel them to the top of the console wars against the PlayStation Neo and the Xbox Project Scorpio. The Evil Within, Fallout and Elder Scrolls could become the largest Nintendo NX games next year.
