Thirty-five people, 25 of whom are underage kids, were hospitalized on Tuesday night while attending Snoop Dogg’s “The High Road tour with Wiz Khalifa. The show was held at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater.
Among the 11 rushed to the hospital for alcohol poisoning treatment after the rapper’s show was an 18-year-old who smashed his mouth and nose at the show after he fell face first, reported TMZ. It did not help that the theater, found in Long Island, only had 16 police officers for the 14,000 guests.
It is the second incident in a Snoop Dogg concert. At the rapper’s concert in Camden, New Jersey, on Tuesday, about 15 people were hurt when a railing collapsed at concert attendees. On Saturday, over 20 concertgoers had to go through treatment for overdoses at the concert of rapper Machine Gun Kelly in Ohio. They accidentally ingested THC after they ate candies laced with the drug.
At their Burgettstown concert on Wednesday, held at the First Niagara Pavilion, the two offered contrasting vocal styles, according to The Times. Snoop Dogg was “rhyming all slinky and cool, exuding the street-cred and wisdom of a guy who's persevered in the rap game for nearly a quarter century.”
In contrast, Khalifa came with kinetic energy and “an ease at accelerating his vocal flow, along with the attitude of an artist just now hitting his prime.”
