To further boost the number of its viewers, producers of the Korean drama “Uncontrollably Fond” announced the guest stint of two popular Hallyu stars for Episodes 11 and 12.
ATimes named the guests as Ryu Seung-soo and Yoon Park. Those episodes were shown on Aug 10 and 11.
Ryu Seung-soo played the character of Cha Taek-joong, a lawyer who has the key to the secret. Cha reportedly will spin the drama’s plot line. Seo Yoon-hoo, portrayed by Yoon Park, is a Hallyu star who has some tension with Shin Joon-Young, played by Kim Woo-bin.
The two guests would play crucial characters to the relationship of the drama’s main stars, Bae Suzy and Kim Woo-bin, according to the production company. In Episode 9, Noel, played by Bae Suzy, admits to Shin Joon-Young that she is a big fan of Seo Yoon Hoo which makes him jealous.
The KBS show is scheduled to end one month from now, and bringing in more interesting guests are the producer’s strategy to arrest the show’s declining number of viewers. Kim Woo Bin, in an interview with Elle Korea magazine, admitted the drop in the show’s ratings.
He hopes to draw in more female viewers and has asked advice from Bae Suzy how to do that as well as from female production staff, reported Bitbag.
