Microsoft totally surprised gamers with the upcoming release of their Xbox One S as it is made multiple times better than its predecessor.
For the past years, Microsoft has experienced profit decline when Sony introduced their PS4 but the giant technology company surely made their come back when it confirmed that a new version of Xbox One - Xbox One S - is on its way. Thus, prior to its official release, many are asking about what is new with this Xbox One S. Generally, this has significant difference from its predecessors in terms of size, design, internal storage, etc.
Compared to the first Xbox One, which takes up too much space because of its monolithic size, the new version is considered to be 40 percent smaller. In fact, its size as well as its over-all physical appearance can be said to be the coolest one in the market.
Second is its Bluetooth functionality. With this, it becomes easier for PC users to hook up the controller because dongles or other wire devices are unnecessary anymore. Moreover, it is possible to personalize it.
The internal power supply is also a big plus for Xbox One S. In effect, it becomes almost the same as what Sony has been providing for years. It is even better because it runs quitter than PS4 does.
Additionally, it has High Dynamic- Range support which is available to all TV or monitor that can support it. This allows gamers to have better light contrast than the previous one. Although at present, the confirmed games which may support this are only a few, including "Gears of War 4," "Forza Horizon 3" and "Scalebound."
It also has an upgraded processing speed due to its quad-core processing chip complemented with faster RAM and menu screens which can rarely be seen. Lastly is its backwards compatibility. Xbox One S is compatible with previous and current gaming units.
Aside from these new improvements on Xbox One S, Microsoft also promised that its Project Scorpio will also have great compatibility and better features when it is released late in 2017.
