"The Walking Dead" season 7 star Ross Marquand recently opened up about the highly-anticipated character death in the upcoming episodes.
While speaking with Pop Sugar, the actor said, "Everyone is expecting it to be devastating, and it is. It's a rough, rough exit, you know? That being said, I think it's a great episode, too. I think it's an episode that people will watch and talk about for years to come, honestly."
Meanwhile, even though Marquand was one of the first people to know who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed off, the actor said that filming the scene was not fun. In fact, all of his co-stars weren't also happy to know that at least one of them has been killed off by the villainous character.
"It was not fun. None of us were having a great time during those scenes. For people in the audience, sitting at home on their couches watching it, they're going to be feeling all the feelings that we felt. It was an absolute loss of someone that we really care about. We say this time and time again, but it's not just a TV show for us - it's a family. When you lose a family member, it's extraordinarily difficult. We felt that death was like losing someone that you really care about," he said.
In other news, it is still unclear who Negan killed in "The Walking Dead" season 6 finale. However, there are rumors that he targeted two characters. One was Spencer (Austin Nichols) and the other one was Abraham (Michael Cudlitz).
Marquand revealed that tons of fans have been asking him who died in the finale episode, but it's something that he cannot really disclose.
"It's been crazy fielding those questions, because everyone wants to know who was at the end of that bat. Even friends and family! But we keep that information very much under lock and key," he said.
According to the show's official spoiler site The Spoiling Dead Fans, the filming for "The Walking Dead" season 7 will kick off on Aug. 15 after a week-long hiatus.
"The Walking Dead" season 7 will premiere on AMC on Oct. 9.
