Apple is reportedly revamping the design and specs of the upcoming iPad Mini 5 along with the iPad Air 3 as part of the new product line that will follow after the iPhone 7.
The Cupertino-based tech giant is already expected to unveil the highly anticipated iPhone 7 in September but some are just waiting for the iPad Mini 5. There are even rumors that Apple will rename it to the iPad Pro Mini but there has been no solid proof yet.
Since there are no teasers or leaks leading to the reveal of the product, the iPad Mini 5 could look similar to its predecessors with a few changes to distinguish itself from the others. The iPad Mini 5 or the iPad Pro Mini could be made to be even smaller than before, iTechPost has learned.
Those who are waiting for the unveil may need to hold on for a little longer as Apple could focus their strengths more for the iPhone 7 and the MacBook Pro 2016. It is still expected to be revealed by the end of the year with an iPad Mini 5 release date close by.
Unfortunately, the camera setup stays pretty much the same to the iPad Mini 4. The rear camera will still have 8MP while the front snapper will have 1.2MP.
Apple could still use a new and enhanced A9 processor for the new iPad Mini 5, Headlines & Global News reported. It will be significantly faster than the iPad Mini 4 which has an A8.
Another interesting new feature in the iPad Pro Mini is the 3D Touch capability that is currently found in the iPhone 6s. The feature allows users to use pressure as a gesture on the screen instead of having to hold down buttons.
Apple will have to confirm the iPad Mini 5 specs and if it will be renamed to the iPad Pro Mini. The release date could be expected after the official reveal of the iPhone 7 which is the company's flagship smartphone that is poised to take on the Galaxy S7, the LG V20 and even the Zenfone 3 from Asus.
