Polish actress Erika Kaar, who is prepping for her Bollywood debut with "Shivaay" revealed she auditioned for "Game of Thrones" and almost made it. She was supposed to have a small part in this year's Season 6.

In "Game of Thrones" Season 6 finale, Arya Stark disguises as a waitress to kill Lord Walder Frey and avenge her family. Kaar was supposed to be that waitress as she auditioned for that part. The casting people called her agent saying she did that part well, Business Standard reported.

However, the people behind HBO's hit saw her as "too American" to take that part which had to be more British. She nearly got it but her accent was too American. However, Kaar was happy because the person who got the role is a friend of hers.

HBO's massive hit is an adaptation of George R.R. Martin's fantasy novels "A Song of Ice and Fire." Kaar was not heartbroken and still hoped to feature in the multi-Emmy awarded fantasy series in the future.

A huge fan of the series, Kaar hopes to get a bigger part because she missed that small part. She wishes to portray a Southern princess because being part of the series is for her, a great opportunity.

Meanwhile, there is a current buzz around "Shivaay." Directed and produced by Ajay Devgn, the action-adventure movie is reportedly inspired from the 2008 film "Taken," according to DNA. However, the director claimed it is based on a real-life incident.

"Shivaay is an emotional drama. The idea came from an article on a real life story, we read," Devgn said during the launch of the film's trailer at Indore on Aug. 7. "We were moved by the article. This picture is from that thought process. We did not follow it, rather that was our inspiration."

In "Taken," the daughter of a CIA operative (Liam Neeson) tries to rescue his kidnapped daughter and punish the culprits. In "Shivaay," Devgn's character is the contemporary Shiva, or the destroyer. His daughter Abigail Eames gets kidnapped and he tries to rescue her.

"Shivaay" was filmed in Uttarakhand and Bulgaria, featuring Vir Das and Sayyeshaa Saigal. The latter who debuts her acting career is the grand niece of actor Dilip Kumar. The film will be released on Oct. 28 during the Diwala.

Here is the trailer of Devgn's upcoming film.
