The real-life couple of Alberto Del Rio and Paige are currently serving a 30-day suspension for violating the WWE's Wellness Policy. According to the latest rumors, Paige could ask for her release if Del Rio uses the out-clause in his contract next month.
The characters of Del Rio and Paige were not going anywhere since the start of 2016 but they made headlines after going public with their relationship. It was a shock for some fans because of the age difference, 15 years, between the two WWE superstars.
Nevertheless, the couple seemed very happy but the company was not, especially Triple H. According to Daily Wrestling News, Triple H is not a fan of Del Rio and he is the reason why the Mexican star is floating in the midcard.
The Game also thinks that Del Rio is not good for Paige because of his partying ways. The 24-year-old two-time Divas champion still has a lot potential in the WWE and it would be wasted if she gets released due to some personal issues.
The couple was rumored to be split on purpose for the brand extension with Del Rio being drafted to SmackDown Live while Paige was assigned to Monday Night Raw. Ever since the draft, both superstars have not been featured on television.
According to The Inquisitr, Del Rio has an out-clause when his contract expires this September and he will likely use it to leave the WWE. However, Vince McMahon is a fan of the former WWE champion but Triple H might convince his father-in-law to let Del Rio leave.
However, it looks like Paige could ask for her release if his real-life boyfriend or "Papi" leaves. The report noted the speculation about her future is still murky but she has a WWE contract until 2019. The company has no plans on releasing her due to her potential.
Paige's suspension will end in mid-September and she could be inserted in the WWE Women's title feud with Sasha Banks out with an injury. She is also nursing a bad neck and shoulder and her suspension might be a blessing in disguise.
