The iPad Pro is due for a refresh and based on latest reports, the next Apple tablet could come in handy for professional users. Among the expected improvements include a faster display technology that would allow users to easily zoom, pan and scroll their word on the tablet.
If sources are accurate, the latest revelation tied up to the iPad Pro could be spot on with the call of KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. It was Kuo who first bared that Apple would be unveiling a 10.5-inch iPad Pro in2017, something that would debut alongside a possible 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 and a smaller budget-friendly 9.7-inch iPad, MacRumors reported.
If there is indeed a smaller iPad model coming in 2017, it begs to ask the fate of the iPad Mini. There is a possibility that Apple could discontinue the iPad Mini due to size and a key feature in the Apple Pencil.
The Apple Pencil is expected to get a big boost with the iPad Pro through wider iOS support. That new software that will ramp up the Apple Pencil’s use could be up when an iOS 10 update is rolled alongside the iPad Pro 2017 speculated debut, Bloomberg reported.
If so, this will be good for the people who have put the iPad Pro to good use. This includes graphics designing among others. Pencil support is currently available but only in select developed apps.
The handwriting and drawing stylus could be used more in the next iPad Pro iteration. Aside from aiding graphics-related work, Apple is reportedly considering Apple Pencil interface to annotate objects in applications.
This means that other apps in the iOS like Mail, Safari, and iMessage could be aligned with Apple Pencil use, a practice that Samsung offers for its Note smartphones or phablets.
Apple got a big reprieve from iPad sales in July so it could be another bright spot to arrest its skidding sales numbers. The MacBook Pro 2016 was initially tasked to do such until sources revealed other products allegedly lined up for a release like the MacBook Air and iMacs.
