"Clash of Clans" is expected to regain majority of its players who shifted to "Pokemon Go" after the latter has been reported to be banned. Supercell is preparing an update expected to be released this month that will allow players who have lower town hall levels to access the game's newly added features.
Since "Pokemon Go" launched worldwide, it seemed that "Clash of Clans" lost majority of its players. Game updates have been regular but the craze "Pokemon Go" has created did not enable Supercell to attract its former players to get back on their game.
However, the recent banning of the Pokemon-based game created rumors and speculations that "Clash of Clans" is back on its pedestal. Given the sudden decrease of daily average "Pokemon Go" users from 45 M in July to only 30 M in August, the speculations may be true.
In addition, Supercell has been reported to release another update for "Clash of Clans" last August. Unfortunately, the update did not push through but some are hoping it will eventually be released any time soon.
Part of the regular events inside the Clash Community is their annual ClashCon. For this year, the event was anticipated to happen sometime last August. Just this month, developers of "Clash of Clans" announced in their blog there will be no ClashCon happening this year.
The statement said they wanted to focus on the upcoming improvements and updates to give back to their players. The development team further said they can only do this through additions to game where all of its players can enjoy using anywhere.
Aside from the sudden popularity of "Pokemon Go," one of the reasons why many users are uninstalling Supercell's game on their devices is because it is not "newbie-friendly." Supercell is expected to bring major changes and address the issue with its upcoming update, Neurogadget reported.
The same report added that Supercell already confirmed the update will improve features they were not able to modify in their past updates. For the last modification, there were features which were not accessible to players who have town hall levels lower than 11.
With is September revision, Supercell will now allow beginners and newbies to access the new features. This may also be a way for the company to keep their players interested with the game.
As of the moment, Supercell has not released any official information regarding its impending revision. Viewers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt as confirmation of details are still to be made by Supercell and deviations from the said information is possible.
