After an emotional and difficult episode last week, the upcoming episode 16 is going to be a lot lighter. Ian Somerhalder has taken his first directorial experience with an official title of "The Downward Spiral," the Inquisitr said. This 45-minute episode's title comes from his favorite "Nine Inch Nails" album.
The Hollywood Hills, on the other hand, summarized the next episode saying:
"Caroline is spotted, getting a little crazy as she reveals that she's switched off her humanity switch to Elena and Bonnie. Caroline is seen, taking a huge bite out of some guy's neck. Damon jokes about Caroline's new crazy condition claiming he knew it would happen."
While Caroline's decision of leaving behind humanity is one of the most serious parts of the series, its preview appears to be a fun moment with Damon, Elena and Bonnie poking fun at the transformed Caroline.
Meanwhile, Steroline shippers are delighted to see Caroline and Stefan share their first ever kiss. In the past week, fans have hoped that both will finally discuss about the kiss, and though they did talk about it, it was rather brief.
In an interview with the TV Line, Candice Accola, the actress playing the role of Caroline Forbes, assured fans that Caroline and Stefan will talk about the matter, saying "We will see them discuss it, and the result of that conversation will really paint a picture of what's in store for them in the future."
The season 6 of the "The Vampire Diaries" returns on March 12.
