In the series, which aired as from 1984 to 1996, Lansbury dealt with one murder after another as Fletcher, occasionally becoming the suspect herself.
With an acting career of about seven decades that earned her an honorary Oscar, six Golden Globes, five Tony Awards, numerous Emmy nominations and an Olivier Award, Lansbury is no stranger to fantasy, CNET reported.
Since the next season of "Game of Thrones" will have seven episodes instead of 10, appearing in two episodes could mean a weighty role for Lansbury.
