"Mistresses" season 5 has not been confirmed by ABC yet, but actress Yunjin Kim has already announced that she won't return to the show.
According to TV Line, Kim, who plays the role of Dr. Karen Kim, will no longer return to the show even though there's still a possibility that it will be renewed.
However, fans are not shocked with the reports because Karen was killed off in the season 4 finale.
Meanwhile, the season 4 finale also left a confusing cliffhanger on fans that saw a woman who resembled Karen. April told Joss that the woman looks like Karen and was also wearing clothes that were similar to her.
In the final scene, April was approached by the same woman who was asking for her help. She also introduced herself as Karen and this left April very confused.
By the looks of it, this shocking twist is what season 5 could be about, that is, if "Mistresses" will not be cancelled.
In other news, fans couldn't help but feel frustrated over the departures of the regular cast members on the show. After the second season, Alyssa Milano left and her storyline was never tackled in the series again.
On TV Line's website one fan @Nadia asked, "Do we know why? I mean, first Alyssa doesn't come back even for a guest spot, now Yunjin is leaving... Am sensing producers, am I wrong?"
Another fan @Julia replied, "I have the same questions but I assume it is because of the filming in Canada and actors wanting to be in the US fulltime."
One fan @Sarah J wrote, "It is not a surprise that she is not returning if they get a season 5. I am a little intrigued by the fact that her ashes never made it to her brother, that will be interesting to find out why."
Some fans also think that "Mistresses" season 5 will no longer be renewed with Kim's recent departure.
"It is not a surprise she is not returning if they get a season 5. I am a little intrigued by the fact that her ashes never made it to her brother, that will be interesting to find out why."
"Mistresses" season 4 aired its two-part finale episode on Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
