"The Last Ship" Season 3 finale is getting closer. The show will end with episode 13 titled "Don't Look Back" on Sept. 11 and it will see Tom Chandler's fight to prove he is not a traitor. In the previous week, Nathan James' captain Tom Chandler wrapped up his missing in East and decided to head home where he must prove his intentions and loyalty to his nation. He has been accused of dismantling the military and more. Meanwhile, the show also featured Tex and Kara's first encounter with Tom Chandler.
Moving on to "The Last Ship" Season 3 Finale. According to the Spoiler TV's description of episode 13 "Don't Look Back," the fight for America will come to a conclusion. At the same time, Chandler will reach San Diego where he must fight a bigger battle.
Here, in America, Chandler is forced to tackle challenges that will change his life forever. A promo video for "The Last Ship" Season 3 teases the events of finale. It showcases Allison Shaw's secret meeting with Chandler where she reveals she plans to kill him.

In the meantime, "The Last Ship" executive producer revealed what to expect in the finale to TV Line. The showrunner promised that episode 13 will "answer a lot of questions from Season 3."
Previously speaking at the Comic Con, Kane revealed that the ending will lead to the new beginning. "We feel we put everything into every episode in every season - we throw the kitchen sink in, we didn't make you wait three years for the cure to come," said Kane as quoted by Entertainment Weekly. "We're always trying to finish everything and find what's next. It's a daunting task to start over again but at the same time, there's a very organic progression. The show gets bigger in scale and scope as the problems get bigger in scale and scope. I look at the way this season ends as a great opportunity to start season 4."
