Elegant Hollywood actress Laura Linney who stars in Clint Eastwood's "Sully" is a bit of a laid back who is a fan of her director, of "Game of Thrones" and aging. She does not post on Twitter, maintains her privacy and carries herself with grace and sophistication. However, she takes her work seriously for which she has four Emmy wins, as well as three Tony and Oscar nominations.

Linney admits it is difficult to work with someone like Eastwood, the filmmaker who only allows one take for his actors. She worked with him almost 20 years ago in "Absolute Power," in 2003 for "Mystic River" and now in "Sully." Having learned a lot from Eastwood developed a fondness for him, with the actress considering him as an important guy to her.

"Sully" is a biopic starring Tom Hanks in the titular role. It tells the story of Sully Sullenberger in 2009 when he made his emergency water landing. Linney plays Sullenberger's wife, Lorraine.

Lorraine was in California at the time of her husband's heroism and media storm. She only communicated with him by phone. Playing Lorraine also deprives Linney from acting with other actors as she had to talk to Sully by phone only.

Eastwood's film opened on Sept. 9, Friday, and outperformed $25 million range expectations with a stellar $35.5 million opening, Variety reported. At 3,525 locations in North America, that is a solid start to the box office fall season.

Linney was a big fan of the 2003 "Joe Millionnaire" reality show. For "Game of Thrones," she has her own prospective character name, Dire Linney.

"I was stunned that it was a type of genre that I would connect to. The women are spectacular," Linney told Vanity Fair in a recent interview. "Also, knowing what I know about production, I marvel at the logistics of that show. It blows my mind."

Losing several of her friends like Phil Hoffman and Alan Rickman makes her appreciate life's happenings more, allowing her to deeply appreciate her existence. She makes the most of her time working endlessly, crisscrossing genres and constantly challenging herself, which is not easy for actresses over 30.

The 52-year-old Manhattan-born actress has three outlets - film, television and stage. Having a play in spring, doing a TV show now and filming "Nocturnal Animals" and "The Dinner" make her feel she is lucky. The actress shared she enjoys aging.

"With age you have experience, and you don't have to sweat the small stuff," Linney said. "There's also a sense that you have a little more faith, actually, because you know that some things will get bad and you know it will get better."
