The latest details and spoilers for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will feature a female J. Jonah Jameson and Kraven the Hunter spotted in fan made trailer.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the role of "Hello, My Name Is Doris" actress Tyne Daly in "Spider-Man: Homecoming". Fans speculated from forums and Twitter posts that Daly could be playing a female version of classic "Spider-Man" character, Daily Bugle's chief editor J. Jonah Jameson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Melty reported.
Twitter username Spidey Call tweeted a photo of Daly on the set of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" along with cast member Jacob Batalon, who plays Daily Bugle staff member Ned Leeds. With that in mind, the possibility of a female version of J. Jonah Jameson could be possible.
Marvel Studios had a habit of diversifying several classic characters from race and even gender, so it will not be a surprise if the studio wants to make "Spider-Man: Homecoming" a very interesting film.
The character of J. Jonah Jameson was popularly portrayed by Oscar-winning actor J.K. Simmons in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man trilogy".
Simmons stated in an interview he is opened to reprise the role of J. Jonah Jameson in the new "Spider-Man" 2017 movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the "Whiplash" star gave petitioners a "reality check" of his own by saying that petition does not come from anybody that is in a position to actually do anything about it, IGN reported.
In other news, a fan made trailer for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" featured one of Peter Parker's worst enemies, Kraven the Hunter.
In the video, Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) will deal with his everyday life as a student and responsibilities as a masked vigilante. Several bits and scenes from movies such as "The Amazing Spider-Man", "Captain America: Civil War", "If I Stay" etc. were used in making the trailer.
It also featured "Birdman" star Michael Keaton, who is rumored to be the super villain Adrian Toomes/The Vulture in the film, as well as Chloe Grace Moretz who is portrayed as Mary Jane Watson and "300" star Gerard Butler as Kraven the Hiunter in the fan film.
Sony and Marvel hinted before that Kraven was the possible main villain in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" due to the "Kraven's Last Hunt" arc, which will likely use in the movie.
Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine) and the Tinkerer (Michael Chernus) will also be featured as additional villains in "Spider-Man: Homecoming".
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be release on July 7, 2017.
