Fairy Tail chapter 502 Recap - momentum is starting to switch sides in the final showdown between Fairy Tail guild members and the Alvarez empire following victories by Gildarts over God Serena and Grey against the powerful ice mage Invel.
Suddenly, Zeref and his Spriggan 12 mages look more vulnerable than ever and with Mavis finding a way to escape from Eileen, the battle field is now dead even.
Highlights of Chapter 502: 'Mari and Randi'
-Mavis escaped from Eileen and Zeref by using her powerful illusion magic. The Fairy Tail founder created an illusion of Zeref asking Eileen for some moment to talk with the prisoner before she completely passed out.
The real Zeref informed Eileen right away of the illusion magic, but a split second of distraction was just enough for Mavis to liquefy and escape from the guild house. Mavis then got some aid in the form of the returning Misty, the King of Edolas.
-Gajeel finally reunites with Levy after everybody thought he was transported into oblivion in his previous battle with Bradman (Bloodman in English). Gajeel also introduced Zera to his fellow Fairy Tail members, telling them she was the one responsible for gathering all the members.
Zera explained to Gajeel, Panther Lilly and Levy that he died over 100 years ago, but Mavis' illusion magic has kept her spirit alive. When asked why she's vanishing, Zera provided only one answer to it and that is Mavis back in her consciousness.
-In a blink of an eye, Zera vanished in front of the Fairy Tail guild members. Again, she has reunited with Mavis, who learned from Misty that Zera is responsible for calling her Fairy Tail comrades. Mavis thanked Zera for her help, saying that her friend has returned home and will never be forgotten.
-After cutting down Brandi, DiMaria brought Lucy and Natsu to a dungeon where she's expected to torture the Celestial mage.
She blamed Lucy for brainwashing Brandi into abandoning not only her duty as a Spriggran 12 but their friendship. For that, DiMaria threatened to torture Lucy mentally and physically, starting off by killing Natsu.
Meanwhile, Brandi managed to survive despite the severe wounds. She got some help from Fairy Tail's Porlyusica, who explained to Brandi the Natsu and Lucy has been kidnapped by DiMaria.
Chapter 503 Predictions:
Titled the last sight I beheld, the next chapter of Fairy Tail could finally unveil how powerful Natsu really is. Porlyusica told Brandi that the tumor that was shrunk inside Natsu's body isn't anti ethernano, it's far worse than that.
Perhaps, the tumor could trigger Natsu to unleash his true strength as the legendary E.N.D mentioned in the book of Zeref. I feel bad for DiMaria because she could be the first person in the series to experience Natsu's uncontrolled power. In short, Natsu will likely turn into a monster in the series, thus the last sight every Fairy Tail members want to see.
