Kimi no Na wa. premiere dates for territories outside Japan, such as Spain (September 22 at San Sebastian Film Festival), Taiwan (October 21), Thailand (November 10) and United Kingdom (October 14 at London Film Festival & November 18 in selected theaters) have already been posted on IMDB.

Funimation, which already acquired the distribution rights of the film in the United States, is expected to announce the official release dates in North American territories in the coming days. Many expected Kimi no Na wa with English dubbed to hit the theaters late fall this year. Your Name premiered on Anime Expo 2016 in Los Angeles on July 3.

Garden of Words' character makes appearance in film:

Yukari Yukino, the lead female character in Shinkai's other anime masterpiece Garden of Words, had her appearance in Kimi no Na wa. as the Japanese literature teacher of the class where Mitsuha Miyamizu, Katsuhiko Teshigawara and Sayaka Natori are in.

At the conclusion of Garden of Words, Yukino decided to leave his job in Tokyo and return to province where she can continue her profession as a teacher at the expense of her romance with then 15-year older high school student Takao Akizuki.

Since Shinkai never provides a clear ending in all of his films, it's good to know that Yukino is 'learning to walk again.' With regards to her romance with Takao, it now all depends on Shinkai to give a satisfying ending to their story.
