After the IFA 2016 event in Berlin, Sony Xperia fans did not get a glimpse of the flagship phone included in the Xperia lineup, the Z6, which paved way for rumors on the unit's cancellation or with Z6 disguising as XZ.
Sony also announced in the event that Xperia XZ phone will be available for United Kingdom in early October; however, the exact release date is still unknown. There was nothing official on the new smartphone's price, though rumors claim that it will have a price between £500 and £600 (SIM-free) once it launches.
According to Headline and Global News, Xperia XZ will have a 5.2 inch triluminous display with dynamic contrast enhancement for a display that could render the device extremely bright, crisp and vibrant. It will also possess a beautiful exterior body made from glass, Polycarbonate and Alkaleido (Aluminum alloy).
Moreover, the Xperia XZ will have a more rounded edge compared to other models, and it will be equipped with the IP68 water resistance feature ensuring users a worriless experience, Asiastarz has learned.
In addition, what makes Xperia XZ a powerhouse device is its camera and video features. The device is powered by a 23MP Sony IMX300 rear camera with Auto Focus, SteadyShot and 5-axis optical image stabilization and 13 MP front camera. It is also 4K capable in video capturing with 2160p and SteadyShot.
Furthermore, Xperia is already powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset, Quad-core Kryo processor, Adreno 530 GPU with 3GB RAM. It also has an internal storage of 32GB but expandable up to 200GB via microSD.
It will also carry a 2,900 mAh battery, a USB Type-C port, stereo speakers and a fingerprint sensor at the side (power button). Unfortunately, the Xperia XZ will not be released with a fingerprint sensor in the United States.
Xperia XZ is produced in three colors, particularly, Mineral Black, Platinum, and Forest Blue; however, talks are still on hand about an additional color called Deep Pink, which may be launched later.
