A butt photo or video, whether the derriere belongs to Justin Bieber or Kim Kardashian or other celebrities, is sure to attract viewer or internet surfer attention.
This was again proven by actor Milo Ventimiglia whose butt exposure in the premiere episode of “This Is Us” on Tuesday is being credited by NBC for the show’s high rating. Entertainment Weekly reported that the pilot episode was watched by 10 million viewers and got a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49.
The viewers were apparently attracted by the show’s opening scene trailer which begins with Ventimiglia’s backside and then he sits down on a bed and covers his groin with a Terrible Tower. The trailer has so far 26 million views, according to the entertainment website.
The actor disclosed that because the program would be shown over NBC, he thought he really would not be naked shooting that scene, reported Hollywood Life. Ventimiglia, who plays the character Jack, thought he would be wearing nude briefs and would shoot the scene to imply he is naked.
However, on the set, they gave him instead different sizes of nude-colored cloth and tape. Since Ventimiglia has done nude scenes before, so having nothing on was no big deal for the actor. But he admits being surprised that his butt was the opening scene for the trailer. “I was like, ‘Wow, my ass precedes my face,’” he said after he watched the trailer.
