Reeling contenders Hertha Berlin SC (3-1-1, 10 points) is set to clash with winless squad Hamburger SV (0-4-1, 1 point) at the Olympiastadion on Oct. 1, Saturday as the 2016-2017 Bundesliga season moves forward.
Start Time and Streaming Info
The game starts at 9:30 a.m. ET. It can be viewed live online thru FuboTV.
Hertha Berlin began the season with a three-game winning run but had been winless in their last two games to settle at the sixth spot of the current league table.
After the crushing 0-3 defeat in the hands of defending champions Bayern Munich, Hertha was then held to a high-scoring 3-3 draw by fellow contenders Eintracht Frankfurt at the Commerzbank-Arena last Saturday, as per Vavel.
Team captain Vedad Ibisevic led head coach Pál Dárdai's squad with a brace in the match to help the team avoid a second straight loss.
Ibisevic opened the scoring with a penalty kick at the 19th minute, but Eintracht midfielder Marco Fabian was able to level the count to 1-1 just 20 minutes later. The hosts then grabbed the lead at the stroke of halftime with a goal from forward Alex Meier.
It was Hertha's turn to equalize as Ibisevic netted his second goal at the 58th minute. Die Alte Dame even got the lead, 3-2, at the 65th as midfielder Alexander Esswein buried a left-footer with the assist coming from Ibisevic.
However, Die Adler ultimately salvaged the draw with a stoppage time goal from defender Michael Hector.
Meanwhile, Hamburg fell to a sorry 0-1 loss to Bayern Munich also last Saturday at their home field of Imtech Arena, Goal reported.
Head coach Markus Gisdol's boys were able to hold the game goalless for the first 88 minutes until defender Joshua Kimmich buried a short range strike with only two minutes left before full time.
It was the fourth straight loss for Die Rothosen as they drop to the bottom three relegation area with Ingolstadt and Schalke.
