Hollywood actress and activist Olivia Wilde announced she and fiancé Jason Sudeikis is expecting a baby girl. She shared this information on Twitter while expressing her support for U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Her tweet was in reference to the Democrat presidential nominee's ad highlighting GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump's degrading comments about women.
According to USA Today, Wilde tweeted this message supporting Clinton early Saturday. She posted, "As someone who is about to have a daughter, this hits me deep in my core. #NeverTrump." This tweet came with a video showing past interview clips of Trump criticizing women's physical attributes.
This was not the first time Wilde expressed her support for the Democrat presidential candidate. While promoting her movie "Meadowland" in New York last April, she shared to the press her thoughts about Clinton who had just announced her candidacy.
"[I think] Hillary is a really exciting candidate for so many reasons but she has a lot to prove to a lot of people. And [I think] she's up for that. So I'm excited to hear what she has to say. [I think] she learned a lot from the last election, [I think] she's done a tremendous amount of work since then. The fact that she feels the plight of women and girls as the most important issue of the 21st century is a huge reason why I'm supporting her," Wilde said in an interview with the Daily Beast.
In addition, She also voiced out her opinion about the advocacies she shared with the former First Lady.
"[I think] Hillary would be focused on that [protecting our new health care law]. [I think] the equal rights of women in this country is something that's still not a law and she would absolutely be focused on that."
This recent announcement about baby number 2 is the latest big news for her and Sudeikis. Wilde has been engaged to the actor and comedian since 2013. They both share a son, Otis.
A few months ago, Wilde confirmed her second pregnancy also through social media.
Time magazine reported about her adorable Instagram post which showed her with 1-year-old son Otis. Both were smiling while they held their stomachs. The said photo was captioned "Matching baby bumps".
