The latest details for the new "God of War" sequel will feature a rumored Fall 2017 release date for the PlayStation 4 and updates on the game's plot.
Game director Cory Balrog teased gaming fans about the plot development of the new "God of War" title for the PS4 as he stated that the sequel will be truly emotional impact on players, as their hearts will be “melt” by what they see running on the screen. It looks to be believed this is due to the relationship between Kratos and his son, Gamepur reported.
Santa Monica Studios revealed new combat details for "God of War". Balrog explained it is still have a fast-paced action as the combat in the sequel is going to be "satisfying as hell“ when gamers get there hands on it. Lead gameplay engineer Jeet Shroff revealed that the gameplay controls for the sequel will be more of trigger buttons rather than face buttons, as gamers will get to be more personal with Kratos rather than wide, arcing blows from previous "GoW" titles.
The father and son combat in "God of War" will play a huge role in the lives of Kratos and his son. Gamers can summon Kratos' son in battled and will act as an assist character and as the game progresses the son will gradually mature and strong enough to go toe-to-toe with his father or against any Norse monsters.
Balrog stated that Kratos's wife will have pivotal role in "God of War" but he did not reveal any further details at the moment. He added that sequel is being worked by the original "God of War" crew and teased that Kratos and his son will be visiting some of the nine realms in Norse mythology.
In other news, it seems that release date for "God of War" for the PS4 has been announced as Santa Monica claimed that the sequel could launch in the Fall of 2017, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
Previous reports stated that the official website of Amazon revealed the pre-order details of the game at $59.99 with a released date placeholder on Dec. 29, 2017. For now, Santa Monica Studio has not yet revealed the exact month and date for "God of War's" release date, but gaming fans will eagerly wait for the announcement next year.
Balrog mentioned that "God of War's" combat system will be have a longer and action-packed storyline as humanly as possible and teases more enemy units will on screen.
The new "God of War" will likely launch on the Fall of 2017 for the PS4.
