"Clash of Clans" avid fans have been clamoring for the release of a massive September update for the mobile game. However, latest reports indicate that while Supercell recently updated the game's servers, the much-awaited "COC" update may not happen this month.
Rumors were rife that "Clash of Clans" September update was already on the servers. This was attributed to the game developer announcing on its official Twitter account that they needed a maintenance break.
We need to have a maintenance break soon (server upkeep), we'll keep it as short as possible!

On the other hand, a user on Reddit observed that "COC" servers had been upgraded to 8.41.x, a strong indication that the expected update is already deployed on the server. This heightened the speculations that Supercell is set to release an update for "Clash of Clans" soon.
While the "COC" community was quick to conclude that the maintenance break was in preparation for the big update, it has been more than one week since the said post but there is still no September update available. Therefore, the much-rumored September "COC" update might not arrive on time considering this is the last day of the month. It is likely that Supercell has pushed the release date for the update to October, according to JB News.
The game developer traditionally released its update on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Since today is Friday Sept. 30, there are slim chances of having the update rolling out this month. Aficionados can only hope that Supercell releases the update in early October.
There is much pressure from fans considering that previous updates for "COC" have been buggy. It seems like Supercell is gearing up to impress players with a clean, bug-free, and working update for the game.
Meanwhile, "Clash Royale" toppled Niantic Labs' "Pokemon GO" in the top chart after Supercell released an update, which both new and veteran gamers loved. Since then, the "COC" spinoff game has become enjoyable and on high demand.
It is important that Supercell deliver a similar update when it comes to "Clash of Clans. However, fans would understand if the developer is not yet ready. Watch the sneak peek below for further information on the upcoming update.
