The fans may have to wait for a longer time for the release of the movie "Geostorm," but the star-studded movie is expected to do well in the box-office.
The plot of this American science fiction disaster action thriller revolves around Gerard Butler, a satellite designer who tries to save the world from a man-made catastrophe. Later his estranged brother Jim Sturgess uncovers the plot to assassinate the president of the United States, President Palma (Andy Garcia).
Garcia joined the movie in the last quarter of 2015 and the movie is currently in post-production. Alexandra Lara, who joined the movie's cast to play the role of Ute Fassbinder, a commander of a space station will be another interesting character to watch out for. She will play the love interest of Butler and hence the fans can expect some romantic scenes in spaceships between the two.
Robert Sheehan has recently joined the project, News.com.au reported. He will play the role of a budding astronaut Duncan and the fans expect a lot from this Irish actor. His US science fiction series ''Misfits'' is already very popular among the audience and it is expected that his career will flourish to new heights with this assignment.
Recently, Garcia signed on another project with director Mick Davis to play the role of Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi in the movie ''The Sculptor.'' Garcia previously played the role of Amedeo Modigliani, famous painter and sculptor, in a movie of the of the same director.
This movie will be released worldwide on Oct. 20, 2017, Hollywood Reporter reported. This movie will be released in 3D.
