"Descendants of the Sun" stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo has once again found themselves in a dating rumor in spite of the refuting claims beforehand. Speculations are rife that the onscreen couple is in a relationship and are already planning a secret wedding.
On Sept. 30, Friday, both Hye-Kyo and Joong-Ki's agencies think rumors about the two stars are petty. Speaking before a group of local reporters, their respective labels have slammed those rumors circulating overseas about the onscreen couple's alleged wedding and baby.
"It's definitely not true," All Kpop quoted a representative from the entertainment label as saying. "It's ridiculous. We're just laughing about it."
The unending dating rumors are ascribed to Hye-Kyo and Joong-Ki's undeniable onscreen chemistry in KBS 2TV's "Descendants of the Sun." In the hit melodrama, the stars portrayed Captain Yoo Si Jin and Dr. Kang Mo-Yeon, respectively.
The 16-episode drama was unbelievably popular with its final episode recording a 38.8 percent viewership ratings. Aside from its cast members experiencing a tremendous growth in their popularity, "Descendants of the Sun" has also strengthened the Hallyu wave in Asian countries.
The "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" actor was one of the many Hallyu stars who graced the red carpet at the 2016 Seoul Drama Awards. The annual event was held on Sept. 8 at the KBS broadcasting station in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea.
"She hasn't only sent a coffee truck, she also sent a snack truck too," Soompi quoted Joong-Ki as saying, referring to the food truck Hye-Kyo sent to the "Battleship Island" filming set. "She is the best partner."
It can be recalled "That Winter, the Wind Blows" actress sent a truck loaded with snacks and beverages to the cast and crew of the upcoming historical film, "Battleship Island," who were currently shooting in scorching heat in Gangwon Province. The said truck was decked out with a banner that reads, "Cheers to Song Joong-Ki and the rest of the 'Battleship Island' crew."
